WORLD CRITICAL MINERALSRESOURCES. RESILIENCE. PERSPECTIVE.
SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

Evidence you can trace.
Boundaries you can inspect.

A dated primary-source research ledger for the mineral profiles, ecosystem references and original decision frameworks.

01 / METHOD

Be precise about
what has been verified.

Research reviewed 5 November 2026. We prioritise government publications, public research institutions, official company pages and original methodology documents. Publication dates retain their stated precision; an undated page is marked as such.

Sources establish specific statements within their own boundaries. Company announcements are not independent verification of performance or future delivery. Proposed operating models and editorial due-diligence prompts are our interpretation.

Some USGS annual commodity PDF links returned access errors. We used readable official commodity pages and other primary sources for qualitative descriptions, and reproduce no inaccessible production tables. Two commodity pages and one company recycling page were supported by official-domain indexed content when direct access was restricted.

No assessed prices, proprietary forecasts or supplier inventory are reproduced. Government lists and trade restrictions change; users must verify the current jurisdiction-specific rules for an actual decision.

03 / PLANNING LANGUAGE

Keep the definition
with the number.

Critical mineral
A policy classification tied to a jurisdiction, date and defined material scope.
Contained material
The amount of a specified element within a feed, intermediate or product; not the same as total product mass.
Qualified replacement
An input that meets the required specification and can arrive during the modelled period. The planner assumes this rather than verifying it.
Available inventory
Usable and uncommitted stock expressed as days of total demand in the planner.
HHI
Sum of squared percentage shares. Here it describes the entered supplier mix without assigning a legal or risk threshold.
Recovery boundary
The distinction between collected material, process feed, recovered element and saleable qualified output.
